What are Bleeding Edge builds?

Bleeding Edge builds are experimental builds offered alongside Production Ready builds. They include newer functionality earlier, are less tested, and may have rough edges. They function as a public technology preview.

What is the difference between Production Ready and Bleeding Edge builds?

Production Ready builds are stable and thoroughly tested for day-to-day work. Bleeding Edge builds are earlier builds with new functionality that may be less stable. New functionality does not move into Production Ready until it has proven stable over multiple updates.

Can I run Bleeding Edge without disrupting my main installation?

Yes. Bleeding Edge builds are self-contained and can run side-by-side with Production Ready builds.

How do Bleeding Edge features become Production Ready?

As features mature and builds prove stable over multiple updates, we promote that work into Production Ready.
