I had heard Gaea 2 was unstable when released. Why should I upgrade to Gaea 3 this early?

Gaea 2.0 involved a full rewrite to future-proof the application, which meant the earliest builds were beta-tested but not yet battle-tested. Over time, updates addressed those issues and Gaea 2.0 has been used in major productions.

Gaea 3.0 is being built as a direct upgrade on Gaea 2.0’s existing infrastructure rather than as another full rewrite, so it inherits that stability and maturity.

Gaea 3.0 will not be released until the broader community consensus is that it is production-ready. Bug reports and their resolution, along with overall community sentiment, will be the primary signals we use.
